Description:

To offer a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit,
ecumenical Christian housing organization, dedicated to meeting the needs of residents
who lack adequate housing. Works in partnership with people in need to build and/
or renovate decent, affordable housing. Habitat seeks to sponsor specific projects in
habitat development, starting with the construction of modest but adequate housing,
assisting with energy efficient repairs and renovation in association with other groups
functioning with purposes consistent with those of Habitat. Eligibility for services
is based on individual need. An application form may be requested by contacting
the Habitat office. Clients are not charged a specific fee. There is a sweat equity
requirement to persons receiving services through Habitat. Serves adults.

The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County, Inc., an affiliate of Carroll Hospital and the Carroll County Health Department, is a private nonprofit organization working to improve health by connecting people, inspiring action, and strengthening community.

Our organization is the coordinating hub that connects agencies and individuals in pursuit of a healthier community. It is often said that collaboration by many is what makes our community like no other. The Partnership is proud to be part of this ongoing tradition of teamwork and collaboration.

As a non-profit organization we work to:

  • Promote healthy lifestyles,
  • Inspire leadership,
  • Track emerging health issues,
  • Influence policies that impact health,
  • Oversee community health assessments, and
  • Monitor health data to regularly “check the pulse” of our community.
