Description:

In conjunction with the Carroll County Board of Education, the Carroll County Sheriff Office, Hampstead, Taneytown, and Westminster City Police present drug and alcohol education classes to all 8th thru 12th grade students. The curriculum provides students with accurate information about drugs and alcohol. It teaches them the physical, legal and social consequences of substance abuse, and also provides students with resistance skills and techniques. Deputies and officers also discuss a variety of other topics such as bullying and internet safety. Community presentations are available as schedules permit by contacting the Carroll County Sheriff's Office at 410-386-2900.

The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County, Inc., an affiliate of Carroll Hospital and the Carroll County Health Department, is a private nonprofit organization working to improve health by connecting people, inspiring action, and strengthening community.

Our organization is the coordinating hub that connects agencies and individuals in pursuit of a healthier community. It is often said that collaboration by many is what makes our community like no other. The Partnership is proud to be part of this ongoing tradition of teamwork and collaboration.
